Dearborn Park: MLK Weekend of Service Event

Event Description
Join EarthCorps and the City of Seattle Dept of Parks and Recreation as they work to restore this Green Seattle Partnership (GSP) site. Dearborn Park, located in South Seattle, is home to many interesting and beautiful native plants. These plants are threatened by non-native, invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry, invasive plants that cover and kill the natives. Volunteers will work to remove the invasive plants, spread woodchips, and possibly plant natve trees/shrubs.

DIRECTIONS FROM I-5
Take the WEST SEATTLE BRIDGE/COLUMBIAN WAY EXIT. Stay to LEFT at off ramp, then merge to RIGHT to go straight throughthe light and South Spokane St. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT ont 15TH AVE S. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto S. COLUMBIAN WAY. Turn RIGHT onto BEACON AVE S. Turn LEFT onto DAWSON ST. Turn RIGHT onto 28TH AVE S. 28TH S. makes a sharp left curve and becomes S. BRANDON ST. Parking is on the right along the street.
