Can we change our perspective on the built environment from "projects that are created and finished" to a more sustainable one of "systems that perform over time"? What social factors should be considered when creating built solutions?

Longfellow Creek is one of the last four salmon bearing stream left in Seattle. Join the King CD and Green Seattle Partnership to help restore habitat along Longfellow Creek and the surrounding urban forest. Come join our ongoing efforts to replace invasive ivy and blackberry with native trees and shrubs. Learn about restoration, plant identification and storm water issues. Bring yourself, friends and family and lend a hand restoring our community green spaces!

SHADOW’s mission is to Save Habitat and Diversity of Wetlands. We aim to ensure the sustainability of Shadow Lake Bog and other unique habitats within Jenkins Creek Basin through education and preservation.
