Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail, West Seattle: Join the District and the Green Seattle Partnership to help restore habitat on Longfellow Creek in West Seattle. Longfellow Creek is one of only four salmon streams in Seattle. come join our ongoing efforts to replace invasive ivy and blackberry with native trees and shrubs. Event will occur at the Brandon Street entrance of the Longfellow Legacy Trail in West Seattle from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Common ground brings people together and the obvious common ground on which we stand together is our Earth. Kore Ionz is putting on an Earth Day celebration and benefit for Seattle Youth Garden Works on Tuesday, April 21st at Neumo's (neumos.com) on Capitol Hill.
It will be an eclectic night of reggae, featuring Kore Ionz (myspace.com/koreionz), Clinton Fearon (acoustic), Dub Down, and DJ DAG (Reggae Music Director at KBCS 91.3 FM). Doors open at 8 PM, it is a 21+ event, and advance tickets are available at ticketswest.com.

On April 24, the Friday evening Taize prayer service at St. James Cathedral will be a special vigil for climate action and protection. Our faith calls us to care for Creation and to stand in protection of the poorest and most vulnerable humans, ecosystems, and species that will be most harmed by climate change.
Hosted by St. James Community, this is an ecumenical service co-sponsored by St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral and Earth Ministry/Washington Interfaith Power and Light.

Stream and Wetland Enhancement: The King Conservation District stream and wetland restoration program has many successful restoration projects that require native plant installation and ongoing maintenance. We'll address maintenance needs on the Snoquera Falls Trail, and may also spend some time on the Buck Creek Trail (on the way to Snoquera) or the Snoqualmie Trail leaving from Camp Sheppard. Come join the Cascade Land Conservancy and Pierce County Surface Water Management for a tour of the Naches Trail Preserve to see the beautiful prairie plants in bloom!
We will also be celebrating Native Plant Appreciation week by learning more about the Preserve and Clover Creek by taking participants on guided tours.

This annual event organized by Puget Soundkeeper Alliance involves over 30 organizations, businesses and government agencies. More than 250 volunteers will launch in their kayaks and other small boats to pick up trash from the waters and shorelines of Lake Union and Portage Bay. Last year nearly 3 tons of trash were collected and removed. The event will end with a volunteer recognition lunch and Environmental Fair. Please join us whether or not you are a boat owner, and help us clean up our inland Seattle waters.

In 2005 WTA began construction of a connector trail that joins the east and west Hardy Ridge Trails by traversing the ridge affording spectacular views up and down the Columbia River. The hiker section is nearing completion, and should be completed by summer. If you've never experienced the satisfaction of building a new trail that will last for generations, this is a project you do not want to miss!

Show Map Spokane County Parks - Iller Creek Conservation Area No Eastern Washington - Spokane Area. We'll continue with trail improvements and maintenance within Spokane's Iller Creek Conservation Area. The current project is to reconstruct a steeply eroded section of trail that runs along the east ridge of Iller Creek Trail near the bottom. The work will involve clearing the trail corridor, digging new tread, brushing, drainage work and other activities.
