About the Event:
Duwamish Alive! is a chance for people to give back to Seattle’s river. On Saturday, April 18, hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers will roll up their sleeves to help restore the Duwamish River. Last year’s Duwamish Alive! on Earth Day brought together almost 500 volunteers. Join us to make this year’s event even better!

Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail, West Seattle: Join the District and the Green Seattle Partnership to help restore habitat on Longfellow Creek in West Seattle.  Longfellow Creek is one of only four salmon streams in Seattle.  come join our ongoing efforts to replace invasive ivy and blackberry with native trees and shrubs. Event will occur at the Brandon Street entrance of the Longfellow Legacy Trail in West Seattle from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Activities include tree planting, invasive weed removal, restoration site tours, poop patrol and education booths with Snohomish County partners.  Groups and families are welcome to join us for any or all of the day’s events.  Kids under 10 need adult supervision for tree planting and weeding activities.

Attendance is limited to the first 100 RSVP’s.

Duwamish Alive! is your opportunity to get dirty and feel good making Seattle's hometown river that flows into Puget Sound a little healthier.

Join hundred of volunteers at 8 sites along the river to weed, plant, mulch and clean up. Then celebrate your good work.
