Sedge Workshop and Field Trip
Fred Weinmann has agreed to lead a sedge identification workshop to Olallie Meadows, a beautiful, sedge rich location. Carex species we may find in Olallie Meadow include C. aquatilis, echinata var. echinata, lenticularis, laeviculmis, luzulina, preslii, mertensii, nigricans, pachystachya, and scopularum var. bracteosa. If we're able to find the hidden bog, we'll also see the rare Gentiana douglasiana.
We'll assemble and leave from Issaquah Park & Ride at 9 AM for a day of botanizing with one of our regions outstanding sedge experts. Mud boots and loupes must have items.
Limit of 12 participants. Sign up early to get in!
