June 20 annual 'sing to the whales' with the City Cantabile Choir on San Juan Island

Come and Join In the 11th Annual "Singing To The Whales" Celebration

Join the City Cantabile Choir, People For Puget Sound and cosponsors in celebrating our local orca whales and committing ourselves to working for their recovery to health. Come, learn about the health of Puget Sound, about the local orca populations and their role in the ecosystem, and about local environmental resources.

At 6 pm, enjoy "Stories and Sounds." Learn the latest news about resident killer whale populations from Cindy Hansen, Education Coordinator at the Whale Museum.  Meet staff and volunteers from local groups dedicated to protecting the health of Puget Sound and our whales.

At 7 pm, enjoy the music of the City Cantabile Choir and special guests, under the direction of Fred West, while watching  for whales as the sun on the longest day of the year.

Bring a picnic dinner to this family-friendly event.  Carpool or bus transportation is encouraged as parking is limited.

The event is free; donations are appreciated.

This event is sponsored by the City Cantabile Choir, People For Puget Sound, The Whale Museum, Friends of the San Juans, Whale Trail, and the American Cetacean Society Northwest Chapter.
