CELP is a statewide organization that protects, preserves and restores Washington?s waters through education, policy reform, agency advocacy, and litigation.
As Washington’s water defender, the Center for Environmental Law & Policy(CELP) has worked passionately since 1993 to protect and restore clean, flowing waters in Washington through public education, agency advocacy, policy reform, and public interest litigation. CELP brings together citizens and scientists, lawyers and lay-persons, agency staff and advocates to discuss and debate and, when necessary, demand that the public values in water be honored and protected.
CELP’s vision for the future is that Washington State will have adequate and sustainable water supplies to support healthy ecosystems, thriving fish and wildlife, and robust communities.
