Puget Sound, I-90 corridor. A mostly flat walk up the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River, this trail follows an abandoned logging railroad grade. This trail was hit hard this winter and late spring, so is in need of some major repairs. It will be a short walk to the worksite.

A mostly flat walk up the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River, this trail follows an abandoned logging railroad grade 3.5 miles downstream and approximately 6.5 miles upstream from the trailhead at Dingford Creek. The trees are so tall, it's hard to tell it was logged in the late 1920's. This is a great trail for children, and it is expected to be extended over the next few years.

Driving directions:
From Seattle drive east on I-90 east and take exit 34 (Edgewick Road.) Turn left off of the ramp, drive 0.4 miles and then take a right on SE Middle Fork Road (Forest Service Road 56). At 1.3 miles from the freeway you will come to a 'Y' intersection. Bear left. At 2.5 miles from the freeway come to a stop sign. Turn left and continue following the Middle Fork Road and at 6.4 miles from the freeway, you will cross the river on a major bridge. Here the road starts getting bad. After approximately 11.5 miles from the freeway you find the trailhead and parking on the right. **Note, it is a rough dirt road and may take you longer than expected to reach the trail head.** (Driving time from Seattle: approximately 1.75 hours.)
