Parametrix Pledges Their Support for the Environment
Earth Share of Washington today announced receipt of a gift from Sumner-based Parametrix, Inc., an employee-owned firm specializing in engineering, planning and environmental sciences.
Dwight Miller, Principal of the Kirkland Office, said, "Our company has, among its core values, compassion for our communities which we extend through stewardship, volunteerism, and corporate giving. We believe Earth Share of Washington, which represents leading conservation groups, is a fitting recipient of this gift."
Parametrix also conducts an Earth Day workplace giving program, in which employees may pledge a portion of each paycheck to support the environmental organizations that constitute Earth Share of Washington.
Speaking for Earth Share of Washington, Executive Director William Borden commented, "We're honored to have a solid relationship with Parametrix. During these uncertain economic times, many companies focus solely on internal operations. Parametrix, by contrast, leads by example. They work to improve and contribute to the communities around them. This is a great day for conservation."
Earth Share of Washington supports its member organizations by helping companies build effective workplace giving programs, inspiring the people of Washington to care and provide for livable communities and a healthy planet.
