Women and Climate Change: Connecting around the World
Earth Ministry invites you to a free forum for Women’s History Month hosted by The Washington Chapter of the League of Woman Voters. This great event will feature Earth Ministry/WAIPL Program & Outreach Director Jessie Dye in a presentation about actions that we in the United States can take to protect the poorest women of the world from climate catastrophes.
As unpredictable and extreme weather increases across the globe, so does the suffering of women in poor countries as they struggle to plant and grow food, collect water, gather firewood, and care for their families.
The Washington Chapter of the League of Woman Voters is hosting a free forum for Women’s History Month entitled Women and Climate Change: Connecting around the World. The forum will feature Professors Sara Curran from the Evans School of Public Affairs and Lucy Jarosz from the Department of Geography, both at the University of Washington, along with Phil Borges, author of Women Empowered: Inspiring Change in the Emerging World and Earth Ministry/WAIPL Program & Outreach Director Jessie Dye. Jessie will conclude the forum by talking about actions that we in the United States can take to protect the poorest women of the world from climate catastrophes.
