About Us
EarthShare Washington (ESW) plays a vital role in promoting environmental education, volunteerism, and charitable giving by partnering with businesses across Washington.
Employees in corporate and government workplaces - Boeing, Microsoft, REI, City of Seattle, King County, and Washington State employees are examples - pledge their financial support and time to the important work of ESW's 66 organizations. These contributions have multiplied as more businesses place the environment alongside United Way and other charities as a recipient of employee payroll pledges.
EarthShare Washington is funded almost entirely by workplace giving donations from individuals. In addition to workplace giving programs, ESW plays a pivotal role as a communication and coordination nucleus. This centralized website offers our monthly newsletter, The Earth Page, packed with member stories and current environmental issues. Learn about Day in the Park, our annual volunteer cleanup event and celebration. Support EarthShare Washington and you help protect your health, your children and your quality of life.
EarthShare Washington is part of a national organization, EarthShare, that manages nation-wide giving programs and there are also several other state EarthShare affiliates.
