Restoration Event on the Clover Creek Reserve in Pierce County
When: February 28, 2009 from 10 am to 1 pm
Where: the Clover Creek Reserve in Pierce County (directions below)
About the Property and Event:
Clover Creek Reserve is an example of woodland prairie, an increasingly rare landscape in Pierce County. When it was acquired in the mid-1990s, blackberry brambles prevented native plants from growing along the creek. Volunteers will participate in a tree/shrub planting activity that day to improve stream-side habitat by returning the banks of the creek to native vegetation. Planting events are fun and great for volunteers of all ages!
What to bring: Boots, work clothes, rain gear, and a water bottle. Snacks and drinks provided.
Clover Creek Reserve is located on Johns Street E, Tacoma, WA 98445.
It is right where 6th Ave East turns into Johns St E. You will see a gate and a CLC event sign and you can park in the shoulder.
If you put in the below intersection on google maps/mapquest it will take you right there:
