Event Description

EarthCorps and Citizens for a Healthy Bay (CHB) are teaming up with volunteers to remove invasive plant species and plant native emergent plants at the Squally Beach site. Please join us to remove the future seed sources for some of the most problematic invasive plant species in Commencement Bay restoration.

Snacks, tools & gloves will be provided.

Location/Directions to Site: Take I-5 south to exit 137(Fife). Take a right (heading north) on 54th Ave. E. Take a right on E.West Rd. / West Marine View Dr (Hwy 509). Continue past Mowitch project site (if you know it). Shortly after passing the draw bridge on left (11th street) park on right but site is across Hwy 509 near the water (Commencement Bay). There will be a blue tent on the Bay side of the road at the site. Look for the white CHB sign.
