Volunteer Event: Lower Hylebos Marsh: Friends of the Hylebos Earth Day Event!
Event Description
Join EarthCorps and Friends of the Hylebos for our annual Earth Day volunteer event! This year we will be working at the Lower Hylebos Marsh, a 13 acre site in the tidally influenced part of Hylebos Creek. This area is a key part of the network of lands that Friends of the Hylebos is committed to protecting for salmon and the health of our planet.
We will plant native plants and remove invasive species as we continue to protect this valuable resource in the City of Fife.
Directions
DIRECTIONS FROM I-5
Take I-5 to exit 137 (northbound 54th Ave). Follow 54th Ave going north to 8th Street East. Turn right on 8th (this is a stoplight intersection). At the corner of 8th and 62nd, where the road takes a sharp right bend, you’ll find the gated site entrance on your left. Park off the road in the graveled area. The site is located down the dirt road beyond the gate. Look for Friends of the Hylebos and EarthCorps signs and volunteer table.
