Apr 1 volunteer restoration work day in Olympia- An Earth Month Event

Join People For Puget Sound and the Capitol Land Trust to help us keep this restoration site on track to become healthy habitat.

This Inlet has been identified as a priority area for restoration and we are working together to get it done.  Today we will be taking on several tasks including: controlling invasive plants, pulling out an old fence, and picking up trash/junk.  It is a great day to get a sense of the tide as the tide will start high and drop 12 feet as we work.

Margie Randall, a kind and friendly woman who loved wildlife, passed away last spring and she gave this property to the Capitol Land Trust in her will with the understanding that it would be restored.  Some parts of the property are already under restoration and the rest will be placed on the restoration pathway soon.  Come be a part of carrying out Margie's dream of stewardship as we take out roads, buildings and power lines and restore habitat over the next couple of years.

Space is limited for this event so please sign up to reserve your spot.

This event will take place rain or shine, so don't forget to put on sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Also, make sure to bring sunscreen and water and pack a sack lunch. We will bring cookies and drinks. We'll have tools and work gloves to spare.

Everyone can help! No experience necessary.
