Adventure Salmon Camp.  Join us in this rare opportunity to explore and learn of the Hood Canal watershed first-hand.  The Hood Canal region is rich in history, tradition and natural resources. The salmon is the one icon of the northwest that brings the elements of water, earth, and people together.

For summer 2010, we are once again offering a day camp and an overnight camp experience travelling the watershed of Hood Canal.

Annual Sweep cleanup event

Over 200 volunteers in kayaks, row boats and motorized craft remove 2-3 tons of trash annually from Lake Union and Portage Bay. Volunteers are treated to a picnic lunch provided by event sponsors and Puget Soundkeeper Alliance.

May 22- first-time night dockside exploration in Union

Spring has sprung and a whole new crop of marine organisms are expected to join us on the tides at the Hood Canal Marina.  A variety of jellyfish, marine worms, nudibranchs, and other, stranger things may visit night time adventurers….ever seen a sea angel or a winged sea slug?  Maybe we’ll even get to see the harbor seal swing by for an evening snack of squid!

This is a fun way to get to know Puget Sound – and People For Puget Sound -- in a whole new light!

Apr 24 restoration work day at Everett's Union Slough

Come celebrate Earth Day 2010 with People For Puget Sound in Everett.

Volunteers will be helping improve wildlife habitat at the Union Slough Wetlands Restoration site ripping out weeds and nurturing our native plants with a hearty spring mulching.

Come lend a hand and do something good for the Sound.
