Volunteer with the American Lung Association: Starts in September
The American Lung Association of Washington is now accepting applications for the Master Home Environmentalist Fall 2009 Volunteer Training. Classes are held September--November at our Seattle office. This free 35-hour training meets Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m., and occasional Saturdays.
Master Home Environmentalist Volunteers:
- Learn to recognize indoor health hazards that contribute to allergies, asthma and chemical sensitivities
- Find low or no cost solutions to reduce these problems
- Teach others about health hazards in their homes
- Conduct home environmental assessments
You don't need to be an expert or environmentalist to become a Master Home Environmentalist Volunteer - just be interested in learning about lead, mold, dust, household chemicals and other pollutants and excited to share this information with other community members.
Volunteer applications are due September 1, 2009. For an application or more information, contact The Master Home Environmentalist Program at 206-441-5100 ext. 50 or visit our website: www.alaw.org.
