Event Description

Join Kirkland Public Works and EarthCorps as we spend the day restoring the banks of Everest Creek. We will be removing Himalayan blackberry and sheet mulching to prevent regrowth of this invasive species.

Gloves and tools will be provided, but, if volunteers have their own tools or gloves that they would like to use, they are encouraged to bring them.

Directions

From I-405 Northbound or Southbound: Take Exit 18 (NE 85th St. Kirkland/Redmond), and head westbound toward Kirkland. At the first light (it comes up quickly) turn left onto Kirkland Way. Turn left onto Railroad Street (just before the railroad bridge). Continue onto 8th Street South. Everest Park will be on your left.

Parking: Parking is located at the north end of the park. Look for signs directing you where to park. Parking is limited, carpooling is encouraged.
