Volunteer Event: Juanita Beach Park
You are warmly welcome to spend the morning with us along beautiful Juanita Creek! Please join this creekside project where the Kirkland Public Works Department will be leading efforts to remove invasive plants and spread mulch, in order to help ensure the survival of the native plants.
Suitable for: Adults, Teens, Families. Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Minors 14 to 17 years should be accompanied by an adult, or bring a signed waiver form, or a parent/guardian to sign you in. Youth waiver forms can be obtained in advance from the City website.
What to Bring/Wear: Bring a water bottle, a mug for tea or coffee, and dress for the weather/outdoor work. Tools, gloves and snacks will be provided.
Directions
Juanita Beach Park (9703 NE Juanita Drive ). Project site is located along the creek, north of Juanita Creek Drive (behind the tennis courts).
Driving directions to Juanita Beach Park (9703 NE Juanita Drive, Kirkland):
From I-405 Northbound: Take the NE 116th Street exit (exit 20A). Turn left on NE 116th Street. Continue on NE Juanita Drive.
From I-405 Southbound: Take the NE 124th Street exit (exit 20). Turn right at NE 124th Street. Turn left at 100th Ave NE, continue on 98th Ave NE. Turn right at NE Juanita Drive.
