Event Description

Join EarthCorps, The City of Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation and local stewardship groups as we continue to restore Thornton Creek. Thornton Creek consists of 18 miles of urban creeks and tributaries from southeast Shoreline through northeast Seattle to Lake Washington.

Today we will be planting native trees and shrubs along the creek. It is going to be really muddy so we suggest that participants wear rubber boots, work boots or hiking boots and bring a dry pair of socks to put on following the event.

Directions

NE 100th ST and 20th Ave NE. in Maple Leaf. There is very limited parking on 100th, but lots of parking on NE 98th ST along the guardrail. If you park by the guardrail go west to 20th Ave NE, there will be a set of stairs that lead down to 100th. There is also a bus route along Lake City Way to NE 98th ST. If you take the bus get off at NE 98th ST and walk west until you get to 20th Ave NE and take the stairs to your right down to 100th
