Count background: Since 2008, Cascade Bicycle Club has worked with the Washington State Department of Transportation, local jurisdictions, and organizations like the Bicycle Alliance of Washington to coordinate the annual Washington State Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project in 20 to 30 cities every year. This data collection effort was initiated by the state to track progress toward increasing bicycling and walking in communities around the state. The data also helps to justify investments in bicycle and pedestrian projects.
2010 count cities: Bellevue, Bellingham, Bothell, Bremerton, Burien, Duvall, Ellensburg, Everett, Ferndale, Issaquah, Kelso, Kent, Kirkland, Longview, Lynden, Mercer Island, Mountlake Terrace, Oak Harbor, Olympia, Redmond, Renton (1 location), Richland, Seattle, Shoreline, Spokane, Tacoma, Tukwila, Vancouver, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, and Yakima.
2010 count dates: October 5, 6, and 7
2010 count time periods: 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.
Thank you in advance for your help!
