Wolf Haven Prairie Restoration Work Party, Thurston County

Need some fresh air?  Then join the friendly TNC volunteers at Wolf Haven Sanctuary to help restore some of the rarest ecosystems in the country. The South Puget Sound prairie ecosystems were created by retreating glaciers 15,000 years ago, and then were sustained by the fires of Native Americans for thousands of years. Today conservationists like you maintain our prairies through active management and restoration.  On Saturday, March 21st we will be gathering at Wolf Haven International to complete important invasive species control and enhancing rare oak woodlands. We will be listening to the sounds of nearby captive wolves' howls while we work and will possibly have a chance to see them up close at the end of the work day.

Please bring a lunch/water and we'll provide the rest.  Work will begin at 10 am and continue until 3pm, of which you may stay for as much as you choose.
