The NW Energy Coalition is co-hosting an informal reception and presentation about restoring a working Snake River for Washington state the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 11, in Seattle

The federal government's mismanagement of the Columbia and Snake rivers and their salmon and steelhead populations has created a regional crisis.  Thus far, federal attempts at solutions have proven to be lengthy and expensive failures.

The Nov. 11 event will outline a different path that would bring together regional stakeholders -for example, farmers, ratepayers, conservationists and the fishing community - to collaborate on crafting a science-based plan that restores healthy, fishable populations of wild salmon and steelhead.  In addition to recovering salmon, such a plan could create opportunities to invest in clean and affordable energy, effective transportation alternatives for farmers, and a thriving outdoor recreational economy for our region.

It is time to come together to restore a Snake River that works for all of Washington state.

Join us Nov. 11 to learn more and find out how you can get involved.
