Looking for a great way to get your kids outdoors and learning important lessons this summer? Take a look at member charity Seattle Tilth's summer camps for kids to give them excellent hands-on experience in everything from ecology to cooking.

Seattle Tilth news -With summer just around the corner, it’s a good time to make plans to maximize the fun and learning for your kids. Good news — there’s still space available in most of our summer garden and farm camps! Our children’s garden team is gearing up to run the most fun, engaging camps we’ve ever offered. Kids ages 1-15 can explore our gardens when they are bursting with beauty and fresh veggies and fruits. Here’s a rundown of the new and exciting opportunities for campers — in North and South Seattle. Hands-on Science Two camps — Guardians of the Garden and Garden Explorer Field Camp — are loaded with environmental science and ecology experiments that will help your campers build their scientific literacy while having a fun time. We’ll create biomes that provide everything a plant needs to survive, examine garden creature specimens from the Burke museum and learn about the amazing uses of some common native plants. Cooking with Fresh, Home-Grown Veggies This year, we’re focusing on the culinary arts to help your little chefs connect the garden to the kitchen.
